FAQs

Where and how does Pete source his materials?

Pete relishes working with Tasmanian blackwood, myrtle, celery top pine, sassafras and huon pine, and meticulously hand-picks his materials from the hidden forests of Tasmania’s untamed wilderness. Pete visits small mills hunting for the perfect piece for his projects.

How long does it take to craft a masterpiece?

Over 900 hours of patient intensive labour created the liquor cabinet. Pete’s pieces can take weeks to months to complete depending on the size, complexity and techniques used. Rest assured, when you commission your piece, Pete will stop at nothing short of the very finest available.

Are Pete’s materials sustainably sourced?

As most of the pieces are veneered, only a small amount of material is used.

Whenever possible, this timber is sourced from decades old timber collections.

There is no mass production in The Studio ensuring the material usage is sustainable.

What price are Pete’s masterpieces?

Created with the world’s finest timbers & metals, with the finest techniques and limited to one edition - these pieces come with a price tag to match the exclusivity of their world class heirloom qualities.

Your investment will not be wasted. These pieces only increase in value over time as the world becomes more consumerist and these craftsmanship qualities die out.

What is the commissioning process?

Pete will work closely with you to design your trophy piece.

A briefing session will be arranged either in person or via teleconference following which Pete will spend time drafting different options meeting your brief.

Upon acceptance of a drafted design, a deposit and payment agreement will be required to commence crafting your piece.

Regular updates and photos throughout the process will be sent with the option of a Studio visit for progress tours.
